International Student House

connected to the surroundings 

The TU Campus North plan alongside the River Schie is a close collaboration between TU Delft, DUWO and the municipality. cepezed paid significant attention to the integration of the ISH (International Student House) with the surrounding monumental buildings.

The new-build consists of two U-shaped building blocks of partly five, partly six and partly ten storeys. Together they form a rectangular composition. Wide passages in the long sides of the rectangle connect the different parts of the public space: a square on the Professor Schermerhornstraat, a courtyard between the building blocks and a park.

Students live in a communal group 

The student rooms are approximately 16 m² in size and have their own shower, toilet and washbasin. Each group with a communal kitchen and balcony has six to eight rooms.

Students will also find many facilities outside their room. For example, the double-height, transparent plinth along the square holds a common space. cepezedinterieur designed the interior of this room. The plinth also contains a restaurant, with an adjacent outdoor terrace.
