Leiden Bio Science Park is home to some 130 companies and a variety of educational and research institutions. cepezed made the design for a new multi-tenant building at this science park: Plus Ultra. We won the contract in collaboration with Adviesbureau Tielemans, and Deerns as building services consultants.

Accommodation for knowledge-intensive firms

The new building is located on the Plesmanlaan, directly adjacent to the park entrance. Previously, cepezed designed several other builings on the Bio Science Park, including the Centre of Human Drug Research (CHDR).

The new Plus Ultra building is a development by Kadans Science Partner, a specialist in the field of accommodation for the knowledge-intensive sector on and around science parks and university campuses. cepezed also designed the Accelerator research building at the Utrecht Science Park for Kadans.

Requirement for custom accommodation

Plus Ultra has flexible rentable offices and laboratories. As a result, the building meets the growing need for custom accommodation in the Life Sciences sector. In order to stimulate interaction and innovation at the park, Plus Ultra also has a number of general facilities.

The building has been completed in 2022 and is BREEAM-Excellent certified.
