prefab construction 't eemgoed in full swing

210302 MG 2521 Lucas van der Wee

The special residential project 't Eemgoed in Oosterwold is taking shape. The development is an initiative of 2OPEN and is based on the concept of a village estate. A village estate is a new generation of estates, with the quality of a village where everyone feels at home in his own way and is connected to the environment. The project is now in full swing. All parties involved are working closely together.

optimization quality and process
The houses are co-developed by cepezedprojects and designed by cepezed and cepezedinterieur. The realization is under the coordination of cepezedbouwteam. The project was tendered out in different lots for the different components, from the steel construction to the facades, facade openings and building services. Together with the selected construction partners, the design was optimised to improve quality and make the construction process even more efficient.

maximum prefabrication
For example, the stability concept has been optimized, allowing Hofman Staalbouw to make a lighter steel structure. The connections between the steel construction and the roof and facade parts have also been simplified. Maximum prefabrication was sought for these parts themselves. The wooden roof and facade components are assembled in the workshop of producer Noviton Prefab, where Terberg Totaalinstallaties provides them with all piping and wiring for air and electricity and the elements are also largely provided with roof covering by Roof Protection already. The roof parts measure no less than nine by three and a half meters and thus each seal a large surface.

construction train
The implementation process of the hull is set up as a "construction train". From three of the eight building blocks, the steel construction has now been erected. While the skeleton of the other blocks is further set up, the concrete floors of the blocks that are already standing are cast. Consequently, the roof and facade elements are added, followed by the installation of the aluminum window frames and the permanent roof finishing.

Watch the video below for a construction update by the cepezed-architect and building process manager of cepezedbouwteam.
