Office cepezed

Architectural dream 

The building by former government architect Jan Vrijman (1865-1954) was in use as the Technology Museum, part of Delft University of Technology. In 1990, it was classified as a municipal monument, and it acquired the status of national monument in 2003.

In 2008, the Technology Museum left the complex. The industrial atmosphere, the many windows and the light they bring into the building were a problem for the museum, but fitted in perfectly with the character of an architectural office such as cepezed.

Authentic details 

Our office has a number of highly characteristic elements, such as an open roof construction of iron, a heavy crane gantry, gallery floors and a variety of other constructional-decorative details.

With the renovation of buildings such as the Entrepotgebouw in Rotterdam, Gebouw 51 in Den Helder and the Textile Museum in Tilburg, cepezed had already gained extensive experience in revitalizing important industrial heritage.
