design task
The Integral Logistics Centre serves an efficient logistics process for the storage, management, mobilization and distribution of Air Force equipment; both at the base itself and in support of missions. The programme includes a taller building section with a warehouse and distribution hall, and a lower part that includes specific storage functions, counter and issuing functions, offices and meeting rooms. This part also contains accommodation for the squadron responsible for logistics.Additionally, under a large canopy on the site, specific goods and army vehicles can be stored dry and under cover. Including the canopy, the building has a floor area of 4,475 m². The surrounding terrain measures approximately 22,000m², is divided into a landside and an airside and was designed by Hosper in an integral connection with the building.
