canopy
The new town hall has an open and light appearance thanks to the glass facade sections and tall windows on the upper floors. The facades have a horizontal articulation that follows the lines of the landscape. The prominent canopy, with an overhang of two metres seventy, is also completely pavilion-like. It reaches out to the park and softens the transition between inside and outside. The cornice is clad in aluminium, as is the façade between window frames. In a wide horizontal strip on facades, the relief of wooden slats forms a geometric pattern from the coat of arms of Buren.
