As a BIM specialist, Simona coordinates the processes concerning the 3D models for cepezed's projects. In order to generate and properly manage the models, she works closely with the relevant project teams. This is the only way to achieve the highest standard in BIM. In addition - with a focus on the efficiency and productivity of design processes - she integrates Dynamo into Revit workflow. On several projects, Simona was able to implement innovations in this way. With her expertise, she contributed to Accelerator Utrecht, Plus Ultra Leiden, Hogeschool InHolland Amsterdam, Hospital Pi Haaglanden and Coenecoop College, among others.

Simona finds cepezed a fine and inspiring office. 'Because of the passion everyone puts into the work day in and day out, the shared goal, and the communal energy that goes with it, I get the best out of myself as a matter of course.' She finds her position as 'coding architect' interesting and challenging, partly because it allows her to look outside regular design resources for solutions to design processes. According to Simona, good cooperation is impossible without open communication and the space to think critically. Only then trust is created and therefore space for innovation.

Before she started at cepezed in 2020, Simona was a BIM modeller at engineering firm B+M, where she worked on complex projects such as Mall of the Netherlands. She studied Building Engineering & Architecture at the University of Catania in Italy - within that study, she specialised in earthquake-resistant buildings. After completing her master's, Simona obtained the Revit BIM Expert certificate at Sapienza University in Rome in 2015, after which she worked for a year at Luca Cerullo Architects in Barcelona.'
