virtual building visit building d(emountable)

Do you feel like visiting our circular Building D(emountable) from your chair at home or at the office? That’s possible! Coming Tuesday May 26th, Bouwen met Staal (Building with Steel) will host a live webinar from 2 PM.

webinar

Now that physical group meetings are not (yet) allowed due to the corona pandemic, Bouwen met Staal is organizing short webinars on recent topics worth knowing about designing and building with steel. With its demountable and remountable hybrid main structure of steel and wood, Building D(emountable) is a perfect case study.

building d(emountable)

The nearly 1.000 m² building that was put together as kit-of-parts is a striking example of the way cepezed approaches circularity. The quantity of materials for the fully flexible building is kept to an absolute minimum. Aside from the ground floor, which consists of poured concrete, all other building components are modular, dry mounted and also easy to disassemble.

explanation

Under the coordination of cepezedbouwteam, the super lightweight circular building was realized without a main contractor. During the webinar, cepezedbouwteam director Jan Houtekamer will explain different aspects of the project. Structural engineer Elise van Westenbrugge-Bilardie of IMd Raadgevende Ingenieurs will relate about the project as well. During the webinar, participants can ask questions and have conversations through a chat function.

registration

Registration for the interactive digital event is free and possible until coming Tuesday May 26th through the Bouwen met Staal website. There you can also find the full program. Attending will proceed through the Bouwen met Staal Youtube channel. To participate in the chat, one needs to log in with an own Youtube account. Afterwards, the webinar will remain available through Youtube.

Have fun!
