In presence of many stakeholders and interested parties, the mayor of Doetinchem officially opened the brand new location of the Graafschap College at Sportpak Zuid on Tuesday October 16th. cepezed and cepezedinterior produced the integral design for the modern school building, which offers space for circa 700 students of the intermediate vocational colleges Sports & Movement and Safety & Craftmanship. With the broad range of sports fields and sports facilities, Sportpark Zuid is the perfect location for the new school, which also houses related companies SportMedX and Sportservice. The rectangular building is designed around a light and spacious atrium that functions as the lively center of the school. The design of the characteristic corten steel façade is inspired by the shape of the large oak trees surrounding the school. The new Graafschap College is completely gas-free; all energy supply is 100% electric.
