Oldelft almost wind and waterproof

20200907 MG 7461 Lucas van der Wee

The nature-inclusive new building of Oldelft Ultrasound on the TU Delft Campus has again made significant progress. Next week, the outer shell of the building will be wind and waterproof.

hoisting window frames
Just before the construction holiday, the façade elements of timber frame construction (HSB) were installed in record time. The roof covering is on top and the skylights of the atrium have also been installed. The aluminum window frames are currently being mounted. That is also proceeding swiftly, because they are hoisted as elements complete with glazing.

getting on
We will soon start with the interior walls, ceilings and finishing floors. Realization of the interior can take place in a relatively short time; partly because the installations that remain visible have largely already been placed during the structural work. Outside, we are now going to finish the façades with cladding and frames for green façade vegetation. We will also already start working on the terrain.

efficiency and quality
Thanks to a smooth and constructive cooperation between all partners, the realization is going very well. The construction process shows how the integrated working method of cepezed, cepezedinterior, cepezedprojects and cepezedbouwteam leads to efficiency and quality. cepezed and cepezedbouwteam, like various construction partners, have an agreement with both developer cepezedprojects and user Oldelft. All activities are well structured and attuned. Therefore, each participant can fulfill his contractual responsibility in an uncomplicated manner.

completion
Most of the construction work will be completed before the end of 2020. We will arrange the installations at the beginning of next year. Completion is at the end of January 2020. Oldelft will then need some time to move in and will take the building into use around the end of February.
