menno rubbens ambassador energy conservation

Team menno rubbens cepezedprojects

The coming year, project developer and director of cepezedprojects Menno Rubbens will be ambassador of Energy Conservation on behalf of the entrepreneur organization VNO-NCW West. Rubbens will fulfil his ambassadorship together with Henk Markerink from the Johan Cruiff ArenA. The coming period, the both of them will advise entrepreneurs in the West of the Netherlands on how to save energy.

The ambassadorship initiative arose in response to the current legal obligations imposed on companies and organizations with high energy consumption. Companies that use from 50.000 kWh of electricity or 25.000 m³ of gas per year were recently already obliged to implement energy-saving measures with a payback period of five years or less. As of July 1st, they are also required to report these measures through the eLoket of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Nationwide, it concerns some 125.000 companies and organizations.

To facilitate saving energy, a ‘Recognized Measure List’ was already drawn up for nineteen different industries branches. In a recent VNO-NCW special and vlog, Rubbens also provides practical information on saving energy. In addition, he encourages entrepreneurs to consider the information obligation as an opportunity for company growth. After all, saving is ultimately about efficiency and a targeted use of resources and that fits in perfectly with the mindset of entrepreneurs. Rubbens focuses especially on rendering accommodation more sustainable and developing flexible and circular buildings.

For more information on the Energy obligation, see the website of VNO-NCW West. cepezedprojects would be happy to help deciding on appropriate steps and measures.
