The brand new office of Lan Handling Technologies was recently opened in Berkel-Enschot near Tilburg. The accommodation of the internationally operating specialist in machines for sterilized product handling was integrally designed by cepezed and cepezedinterieur. cepezedbouwteam coordinated the realization; without any use of a main contractor, it has contracted, directed and supervised the various implementing (construction) specialists for the client. cepezed has intensively supervised the process from the very first sketches. The close cooperation between the various cepezed specializations has resulted in a fully customized building for the price of a standard solution. With the available budget, a fully equipped, state-of-the-art building has been realized. With the new accommodation, Lan is now completely future-ready.
The building contains 1,500 m2 of offices and more than 5,000 m2 of flexibly usable assembly halls for production lines of various lengths. The set-up is largely focused on efficient business operations. The building has an open and transparent character that renders it rich in daylight and minimizes the distinction between office floors and halls. Thus, communication lines between the designers at the office and the engineers in the halls are short and for visitors, the halls also function as a showroom for Lan's special expertise. The interior is robust and cool. With a sleek materialization and refined detailing, the building has the same sober outer appearance as that of Pas Reform in Doetinchem, which cepezed previously designed and which is part of the same parent company. In this way, the building also contributes to a consistent corporate image.
