On Monday 1 March, the shell of the new head office was handed over by cepezedprojects to owner ASR Dutch Science Park Fund and tenant Oldelft Ultrasound. The BREEAM-Excellent certified head office for the developer and manufacturer of medical equipment is built both circular and nature-inclusive.
circular design
Much attention has been paid to circularity and flexibility in the design. For example, the prefabricated steel construction is assembled "dry" and can easily be disassembled, so that the parts are suitable for reuse. The hollow core slab floors can also be detached and reused. In addition, the building can easily be rearranged, used as a multi-tenant building and prepared for possible future expansion. It is thus prepared in every way for changing use and a long-lasting future.
green facades
Partly because the building is located on the green TU campus in Delft, cepezed has opted for an ecological, nature-inclusive building. To achieve this, large façade blades have been installed, which in the future will be covered with a mix of climbing plants. The vegetation consists of a diversity of specifically selected climbing plants, chosen for both physical and aesthetic qualities. Think of the sun requirement, water requirement and frost resistance of a species, but also the growth rate. The plants have also been chosen in such a way that they form an attractive habitat for various birds and insects.

A special feature of this project is that at the same time work was carried out on the construction of the hull on behalf of cepezedprojects as the developer and on the implementation of the installation package on behalf of Oldelft Ultrasound as the tenant. This makes construction a lot more efficient and the building can be taken into use sooner. For the new head office, cepezed took care of the complete realization. Architectural firm cepezed designed the building, cepezedinterieur the interior environment, cepezedbouwteam took care of the implementation coordination and cepezedprojects is involved as developer.
