cocoa factory helmond in TV broadcast 'gebruikte stenen'

exterieur nieuwe en oud

In the series "Gebruikte Stenen" (Used Stones), the regional broadcasting station Omroep Brabant pays attention to the many gems of industrial heritage in the province of Noord-Brabant. Presenter Hannelore Strijs also visited the Cocoa Factory in Helmond transformed by cepezed. Omroep Brabant will broadcast this visit on Tuesday evening 17 November.

from ruin to cultural hotspot
In 2014, cepezed transformed the more than 125-year-old factory complex into the cultural hotspot of Helmond with cinemas, a concert hall, exhibition space, office spaces and catering. The director of De Cacaofabriek, Jochem Otten, can speak enthusiastically about this. Hannelore Strijs talks to city historian Giel van Hooff about the factory's industrial past. And cepezed partner Ronald Schleurholts explains, from his role as architect, what is involved when you want to transform an old and dilapidated building into a modern building.
