cepezedinterieur decorates town hall with local art

hal

Cepezed

The art that is to be placed in the renovated and expanded town hall of West Betuwe originates from the rich art collection of the merged municipality. Together with the municipality and the alderman for culture, cepezedinterieur made a careful selection. cepezedinterieur, which designed the renovated town hall together with the architects of cepezed, was given this as an additional assignment.

rich art collection
The municipality of West Betuwe is a merger of the municipalities of Geldermalsen, Neerijnen and Lingewaal. In the past decades, these municipalities came into existence through 26 villages and 13 hamlets. In the course of time, this has resulted in a rich art collection, a large part of which was stored and part of which was shown to the public.

interior design
cepezedinterieur made an inventory of the entire art treasure for the municipality of West Betuwe. In addition, cepezedinterieur gave advice on which art objects should be given a place in or around the new town hall. Consideration was given to whether the objects would fit in with the (interior) design of the new town hall and also (physically) fit in with the new spaces, with different incidence of light.

The renovation of the town hall and the new building will be completed in the spring of 2023.
