cepezed develops, designs and coordinates the construction of a new, nature-inclusive headquarters for Oldelft Ultrasound, a company that develops and manufactures miniature equipment for medical ultrasound diagnostics. The four cepezed-expertises cepezedprojects, architectural office cepezed, cepezedinterior and cepezedbouwteam (cepezed construction team) closely and integrally cooperate on the building that will be realized on the TU Delft Campus.
The design is in line with the high ecological value of the location. In this way, the new building will have green facades, planted with a mix of climbing plants in the open ground. To get a good picture of which plant species can be used, cepezed had a study carried out into the local ecosystem and the occurring, vulnerable, flora and fauna. In consultation with the ecologist, the plants are chosen based on colour, shape, seasonal pattern and biodiversity.
Construction is planned for October. For cepezedbouwteam, nature inclusion is of course also important during construction. That is why an ecological report and working protocol have been drawn up for the building phase. Among other things, it describes requirements for making the construction site safe for small marten-like species, the water shrew and various bird species. cepezedbouwteam also sees to it that weekly inspections take place, the construction site lighting is limited, and that rainwater is not discharged towards the habitat of the shrew.
