This week, cepezed actively participated in The Week of the Circular Economy. The theme week had its fifth edition this year and therefore celebrated its first lustrum!

On Monday, the Fokker Terminal in The Hague hosted the National Conference Circular Economy. Director Menno Rubbens of developer cepezedprojects took part in a debate, together with representatives from the Rijksvastgoedbedrijf (Central Government Real Estate Agency), Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) and the branch association of architects BNA. This because of their joint role in the forum of the Transition Team Circular Construction Economy, who’s agenda is aimed at rendering the entire building branch circular before 2050.
lunch lecture
On Wednesday afternoon, cepezed opened its doors to all people interested in our vision on circular design and construction. Partner and architect Paddy Sieuwerts gave a well-attended lunch lecture about our methodology, in which systemization, a kit of parts approach and a demountable detailing all play an important role. With our guests, we also visited the circular Building D(emountable), which we recently realized on our own premises.

The Week of the Circular Economy had a packed program with a wide range of inspiring activities throughout the country. cepezed was pleased to participate. By sharing our knowledge and experience, we have also taken another number of steps in the new year’s challenge we set ourselves for 2020!
