construction shuttle parking aalst started

Nieuws 2018 11 16 parking aalst

cepezed produced the design for the new parking garage on the so-called shuttle parking site in Aalst, Belgium. The construction of the seven-story building has already started, completion is planned for the end of 2019. Besix is the builder. The parking is part of the large-scale station development in Aalst for which cepezed conceived the master plan on behalf of Denderoever nv. While currently almost the entire site is used as a parking lot for (train) commuters from the Aalst region, the new car park will contain more than the same capacity, around 900 cars, within a footprint of only 3,450m². The site is thus unlocked for other high-quality building developments such as a multifunctional building, the Kaai District, of approximately 45,000 m² that includes living, retail and a large roof park and a multi-tenant office right next to the train station. Both projects are also designed by cepezed.
