Splashing in Leeghwaterbad Purmerend 

The eye-catcher of the Leeghwaterbad is the recreational pool. In this water playground, you can splash about in the rapids and under a waterfall shower. The recreational pool is divided into 17 islands, each with a different character.

Inside you will also find an eight-lane competition pool, an instruction pool and a target-group pool for the elderly and disabled.

From inside to outside 

Outside there is a play pond for toddlers and an outdoor swimming pool, which is connected to the recreational pool indoors. The pools are located around a four-storey core: this contains the facilities for water purification and air treatment, the changing rooms and catering.

Through a huge glass wall in the entrance hall, you have a marvellous view of the underwater world of the competition pool.
