At Land Forum in the city of Eindhoven, police officers will work together in a new way. cepezed, together with PosadMaxwan, drew up a master plan and a ‘beeldkwaliteitsplan’ for a cluster of police buildings. The landscape forms the starting point of the design, focusing on the relationship between inside and outside and reinforcing ecological structures. The large outdoor space is conceived as a campus-like park, where police officers can meet and relax during their work and training.

introducing level differences
Besides the park-like outdoor space, the program includes a good number of buildings for different functions. These range from a detainees complex to spaces for the Mobiele Eenheid (riot police), criminal investigation, forensic investigation, shooting range, police school and the surveillance dog team. In total, around 1,700 people will work at Land Forum. By deliberately situating the buildings in the landscape and introducing different height levels, the outdoor space is maximally green, with integrated workplaces, sports facilities and places to relax.
green strip
Although strict security measures apply as with other police locations, the view from the surrounding area is as scenic as possible. Crucial to connecting and strengthening ecological structures is the area between the Grasrijk residential area and Land Forum, where the road also runs. This area will be laid out as a publicly accessible green strip. From an ecological perspective, this area and Land Forum function as a whole. The start of construction is planned in 2027 and from 2030 onwards this police assembly area will be put into use.
