cepezed designs architecture where people enjoy living, working, learning and spending their leisure time. Light and spacious buildings with logical routes, where users can feel both free and secure. At the same time, we aim to ensure that our architecture does not deplete the planet’s stock of raw materials.

Founded in 1974 to innovate the building industry, our office envisions a construction world in which materials have a long lifespan and reuse is the norm. This calls for high-quality building components, demountable and reassemblable structures, flexible floor layouts and a timeless architectural signature.

Ideally, demolition makes way for transformation. Retaining an existing shell alone already reduces CO₂ emissions significantly. Therefore, even when demolition appears to be an option, we explore the potential for reuse — whether it concerns listed monuments or more ordinary buildings.

By working from a kit-of-parts approach, our architecture is sustainable, demountable, lightweight and efficient – and readily suited for the use of circular materials.

cepezed’s designs are forward-looking and intelligently conceived. Wherever possible, our architecture is conceived as a demountable kit of parts, allowing us to rethink the entire construction process. Our method is based on dry assembly, enables low-emission building and ensures efficient use of materials – preferably circular or biobased. With high-quality prefabricated components, the structural shell is effectively the finished product.

cepezed specialises in reuse. We design demountable new buildings and apply circular materials within a kit-of-parts approach. Our BIM experts systematically label building components, ensuring that their condition is known both now and in the future. By making data comparable, they enhance communication between all partners involved.

Our kit-of-parts method naturally encourages pioneering – we are used to thinking differently about construction. Exploring boundaries is part of our DNA. We do this together with our partners and clients, learning through experience. Ideally, we work integrally from an early stage within a diverse team. Through our innovative projects, we contribute to the development of the discipline.

To truly make a difference, we rely on thorough analysis and are not afraid to adopt unconventional solutions. Data play a crucial role in this process. They inform our design decisions and can be decisive in convincing clients or contractors. To obtain this data, we develop our own dedicated tools.
