Circular economy and circular construction 

The new building in Delft is a model project in the field of circular economy and circular construction. It is completely flexible to use and rent out, and is fully demountable. The components are easy to reuse or recycle, while the building can be reassembled in an entirely different place in the future.

The property is intended for companies in the knowledge-intensive creative industry. Each of the four floors has approximately 200 m² lettable area.

Lightweight and prefabricated 

The office building has been constructed from an absolute minimum of materials, with connections that are also easy to detach. It has a prefabricated steel structure. The wooden floor elements are made from Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) and are also prefabricated. On the wooden floors, a screed of mineral granules and gypsum fibreboards has been applied. This in turn was provided with a finishing floor of partially recycled PVC. The façade is largely transparent, and its glass is mounted directly onto the steel structure without frames. Vertical slat strips in the façade can be opened for natural ventilation.

Short communication lines for fast implementation 

The extremely short construction time of only six months was made possible by, among other things, well thought-out preparation and close, integral cooperation between all the cepezed areas of expertise.

At cepezed, all the specialists in the various fields of expertise are under one roof, so there were short lines of communication. This not only improved the efficiency of the process, but also the level of alignment and therefore the quality.
