Jan Pesman, MSc (Utrecht, 1951) studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology and was one of the founders of cepezed in 1973. In 1971 he was co-initiator of the magazine for scientific entertainment Utopia, where he remained as editor and designer until 1977. Pesman was also co-initiator of the design magazine Items, which still exists to this day. From 1983 to 1992 he had a position as editor. During academic year 1994-1995, Jan Pesman was senior lecturer at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design. In the period 2010-2014 he was chair of the Dutch Royal Institute of Engineers KIVI NIRIA. In 2018 he was declared ‘Delft Entrepreneur of the Year’ by a jury of experts of entrepreneurial platform Delft Verbindt (Delft Connects). Besides his many activities as architect and spatial designer, he also gives lectures in the Netherlands and abroad.
Ronald Schleurholts, MSc (Roden, 1972) studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology, where he focused on architecture, construction methods and interior. While he was still studying, he worked for a period at architectural offices Claus & Kaan and Koen van Velsen. He has worked at cepezed since 1999, and was appointed partner and member of the executive board in early 2005. In 2009 the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Atheneum chose Schleurholts as one of the forty most influential upcoming European architects under the age of forty. From 2010 to 2015 he was on the board of the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects (BNA) and between 2011 and 2015 was chair of the Living Daylights Foundation. In 2019 he was selected for the ABN AMRO Sustainable 50, an annual inventory of front runners in sustainability within the Dutch construction and real estate sector. In addition, he gives lectures about sustainable and integral design in the Netherlands and abroad.
Paddy Sieuwerts, MSc (The Hague, 1977) studied architecture at the Rotterdam Institute of Architecture Civil Construction & Urban Design and architecture at the Delft University of Technology. Even before he graduated in 2003, he was working for various architectural offices, including cepezed and Atelier Kempe Thill in Rotterdam. At cepezed's sister company cepezedbouwteam he also worked on a series of industrially designed distribution centres. In 2004 he rejoined cepezed permanently and developed into a specialist in the areas of estimates, forms of collaboration, contracts and large-scale industrial and public-utility building, including buildings and laboratories for scientific research. In addition, Sieuwerts was been a member of cepezed's management team for many years. In 2015 he became a partner within the office. Since the beginning of 2019, he joined the Members' Council of the BNA.
