“We work everywhere. As from april 28th, we meet, charge and catch up in our new office.” This is the way software developer Microsoft informed its relations about its move to the new, centrally situated and cepezed-designed office complex The Outlook at the Evert van Beekstraat at Schiphol. Thus, they’ve already been there for a while, but the official opening was only last week. The name The Outlook is very appropriate for a couple of reasons. Of course, it refers to Microsoft’s well known mail programme, but it also carries a vision on and orientation towards the future. Moreover, the office complex has façades largely made of glass that offer a phenomenal view. The complex has been built and arranged according to the most recent understandings in the field of flex-work and tele-work. Therefore, Microsoft-representatives from the main office in the US have attentively been following the developments at Schiphol over the last period of time. The Outlook is only partly in use by Microsoft. For another part, the complex is still under construction and it will also house other tenants.
