The new construction of the Centre for Human Drug Research (Research) in Leiden has reached its highest point. The building arises directly next to the existing CHDR-premises at the Bio Schience Park in Leiden, which were also designed by cepezed. The steel stability structure of the new building has been designed together with SmitWesterman engineers and derives its stability from a central facilitary zone with amongst other things the shafts, stairs and elevators. For the assembly hereof, elements of four storeys high have been used. Therefore, the highest point of the eight-storey building was promptly reached.
