Former Chief Government Architect, former Dean of Architecture at the Technical University of Delft and present Chief Municipal Architect of Delft Wytze Patijn thinks Westraven is the most beautiful building of the Netherlands. In a January 27th interview with de Volkskrant following his official leave as a dean, Patijn among other things discusses the future of (Dutch) architecture and his love for refurbishment projects. Asked what he thinks is the most beautiful building of the Netherlands, Patijn refers the the cepezed-remodelled Westraven: ‘That is the future, that is true sustainability’.
