Starting today you can vote for the public prize of the Dirk Roosenburg Award 2017, This biennial architecture award of the city of Eindhoven has both a professional prize and a public prize.
SintLucas, designed by cepezed, is one of the ten finalists competing for the first prize. A jury visited all the nominated projects last September to come to their professional verdict. The prize giving ceremony will take place on Friday October 27th during the Dutch Design Week, in the Natlab building. Which project has been granted to be the public’s favourite will be announces then as well.
cepezed, in collaboration with engineering company Arup, transformed the former Philips NatLab-building into a new SintLucas College for creative-technological and entrepreneurial studies for lower and intermediate vocational education. The new school opened in September 2016 and counts circa 2000 students.

The biennial award is given by the municipality of Eindhoven and organized by the Architecture Centre Eindhoven. The prize that has been granted since 1989 has been named after the architect who designes a lot Philips buildings; Roosenburg was the architect of among other projects the NatLab building.
