The construction of the new city hall of Westland in Naaldwijk is progressing swiftly. The building of the new public and civic centre on the Verdilaan and the separate council office for staff on the Laan van de Glazen Stad commenced in May 2016. Meanwhile the casco is roughly finished and all the facades are put into place. At this moment full effort is put into the fitting of the interiors on both locations, positioning the inner walls and laying down the flooring. The new premises will be taken into use by July 2017.
The Westland public and administrative centre is being realized by consortium De Groene Schakel, which is also responsible for the design, financing and maintenance and exploitation over 25 years. De Groene Schakel exists of the VolkerWessels companies Boele & van Eesteren, HOMIJN Technical Installations and PCH Dienstengroep (services). The complete architectural and interior design of the buildings is created by cepezed and cepezedinterieur.
