The construction of the State Office Building De Knoop is progressing rapidly; the contours of the new combined state office and meeting complex are clearly visible. Apart from the plinth along the Croeselaan the existing structure is almost fully enclosed with the new transparent façade. The double height plinth will include the future restaurant. For optimum daylight this building area will be fitted with skylights for which recently the holes were cut in the original concrete roof. In parts of the complex that already wind- and waterproof the outfitting has begun. At the railway side of premises the mounting of the steel construction for the new conference centre has started. The delivery and opening of the State Office De Knoop are scheduled for 2018.
