Associated architect Ronald Schleurholts of cepezed architects has been elected as one of the forty most important emerging European architects and designers under forty years of age.
The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Atheneum, Museum of Architecture and Design announced the laureates of their yearly program Europe 40 Under 40 this week. According to the institutions, the winners represent the next generation of European architects and design professionals who will impact future living and working environments, cities, and rural areas in Europe and around the world.
Europe 40 under 40 is open for all young European architects, landscape architects, urban planners, industrial designers, graphic designers, and fashion and textile designers who are under the age of forty. This year, the winners stem from nineteen European countries and have been selected from hundreds of applications. Their projects have a.o. been judged on the merit of design innovation.
The Contemporary Space in Athens shows an exhibition with projects of the laureates from September 16th through November 1st. This exhibition will also be on show during the symposium The city and the world, which will be held in Florence during the second week of November.
