cepezed works hard these days on three large-scale and co-defining projects for the Utrecht city centre, which collectively span some 2 kilometres. The first is the Moreelsebrug, a characteristically designed bridge with trees on it for cyclists and pedestrians. South of the railwaystation, it will connect the Moreelsepark and Croeselaan. The bridge lands directly adjoining the former Knoop military station, which is being redeveloped into state office De Knoop by the R Creators consortium including cepezed as the architect. The transformation combines radical adjustments to the existing structure with partial demolishment, expansion, a fully renewed urban embedding and a wide number of contemporary work and meeting places internally. Additionally, for the Jaarbeurs directly opposite to De Knoop along the Croeselaan, cepezed works on a general redevelopment vision as well as a design for the Jaarbeurs Passage, the new entrance area of the complex and an important link between the different Jaarbeurs halls as well as the fair complex and the city centre.
