On Thursday April 23, the realization process of the temporary court house in Amsterdam has taken a start with demolishment activities on the first parts of the existing complex. The president of the court, Ms. Eradus, seated herself in a power shovel with which she performed the first official dismantling manoeuvres. The start of the new construction is planned for June. Together with the existing towers E and F, it will function as the temporary court house for a period of some five years. After that, the court will take up residence in a by then fully new-developed court house on the same premises. The new construction of the temporary housing is fully reusable; it can easily be disassembled and used on another location for different purposes.
