The cepezed-designed sustainable new building for the Watercycle Research Institute KWR in Nieuwegein has been completed and is momentarily being furnished. Shortly, the knowledge intensive institute will move into the premises, after wich demolition of the exisitng housing on the same grounds will start and the landscape design will be executed. The official opening takes place after the completion hereof. Mayor Frans Backhuijs of Nieuwegein officially initiated the pile driving for the new construction in October 2013 and therefore was one of the first this week to get a guided tour though the builing by a proud KWR-director Wim van Vierssen. The new KWR is fully aimed at cooperation and the sharing of knowlegde and underlines the quality the institute strives for in all its activities.
