After an action-filled show by several police units, the Veilingwegcomplex in Rotterdam was officially opened last Friday by mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb. Over the last years, the housing of the poilice force right along the A20 highway has undergone a thourough, cepezed-designed, renovation, modernization and extension. The project includes the image-defining office tower adjoining the highway as well as a series of reused auction halls at its base. Functions encompass the regional center for operational support as well as a variety of practical and theoretical training facilities, sports facilities, workshops and garages for the fleet.
The strongly sustainably renewed complex thus functions as the location where operation and support converge for the complete police region.
