The Cacaofabriek (Cacao Factory), the new cultural hotspot of Helmond including a movie theatre, pop stage, rtv-studio, an art centre, catering facilities and offices for the creative industries and editors of the Eindhovens Dagblad, opened its doors. Over the last years, the industrial monument has completely been transformed according to cepezed-design. Friday March 14, the official opening for invitees took place. During the weekend, the Cacaofabriek featured performances by Blaudzun and The Kik. Monday March 17, the premises already accommodate Helmond Inside Out, a symposium organized by the municipality in cooperation with the trade journal Stedebouw & Architectuur completly dedicated to the city of Helmond. Last weekend, three bands already played trial concerts on the pop stage, where the audience especially liked the warm sound and the upper circle. More about the tryout performances in the Eindhovens Dagblad.
